After leaving the SOMARTA show we raced over to Shibuya to catch the edgy and young, Christian Dada collection. Fashion week first-timer, Masanori Morikawa's showed the labels second collection since launching.
Upon entering I fell in love with the stage layout as well as the dark lighting which remained for the entirety of the show; allowing the models to walk in and out of darkness to a spotlight on the edge of a square-shaped runway.
At times I felt as if I were watching theater rather than a new Spring/Summer collection. The young and extremely creative designer mixed art with fashion, bringing in many props and creating a sense of gloom. By far my favorite production of Fashion week. The fashion itself also looked a bit Gothic. To get a better idea of the collection please check out the images HERE. At the end of the set I couldn't help but compare the model in the white dress and the following models in black to The Black Swan.
Afterward, I shared my enthusiasm for the show with Brazilian Vogue editor and a lovely girl with the best hat I had seen all night.
