The hunt for hot style + XXL in Japan is over.. I heart Billionaire Boys Club

Wednesday, December 8, 2010
Billionaire Boys Club is THE TRUTH in Men's fashion. I have been searching high and low in Tokyo for my husband. He has an athletic build and it is hard to find him stylish fashions even in the States. I have heard a lot about Pharrell Williams and Nigo (the founder of BAPE) line called Billionaire Boys Club. However, after visiting their store in Shibuya, I fell in love with their jackets and hoodies! Beyond hip, with a street wear meets luxury essence. They did an amazing job with this line and I am a proud customer. KUDOS!

They are beautiful, perfection and just what I need .. At 5'2 I need some extra inches, I need a pop of color to my monochromatic outfits and I NEED, yes NEED the patent leather LOUBS! Merry Christmas too me!

999 yen and your outfit is DAIJOBU desu! I am not kidding.

To stay fabulous in Tokyo is extremely expensive. Imagine paying retail prices for designer and double it. So to remain a fashionista in one of the most expensive cities in the world I needed to reorganize and seek out new avenues for my shopping adventures. This my friends is how I found a one stop shop for accessories. If you can not shop everything name brand, like myself, this is a fabulous store to pick up the right accessory to complete your look. I found this gem roaming the back streets of Omotesando searching for a cute fedora. You can get everything from scarves, belts, hats and jewelry all for 999 yen! Pair a cute cuff from this shop with an Alexander Wang LBD and a studded belt and your holiday Christmas party look is done. Well, at least mine is anyway.

Leopard, hot pink and Tulle = A Walk in the Park

Only in Tokyo will you find such a fabulous outfit for a stroll in the park with your hubby. Not only does she rock this ensemble with complete confidence (as she should) but she does not even care at all about stares or judgements about her unorthodox outfit decision for her picnic in Yoyogi Park. She struts effortlessly on top of the gravel and dirt path with 3 inch stilettos. Why can't we all do that? I heart you Hot Pink Tulle Girl with Leopard Shoes, and I heart you Tokyo for enabling fashion in the park!

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, Fall Fashion Is here.. Frankly, I couldn't think of a more appropriate time to start my blog. After leaving my job in the fashion styling industry and moving abroad to Tokyo, I only found it necessary to document my styling opinions I find racing through my head in the elbow to elbow subway everyday. Because my opinion matters that's why..... :) Much needed ventilation...

I am happy to say that I have never been to a city with such diverse and individual style as Tokyo. I mean, not all outfits I see are put together like an editorial spread, however they all show honest effort. You can find off-the-runway looks in Ginza, to the appropriate minimalism in Omotesando. Very close you approach the over-the-top teens in Harajuku (which is everything you imagine when you hear about Harajuku). I am happy to say that Tokyo makes my favorite quote valid. "Style is true when it is you."

Now, back to fall fashion of course. I am uber stoked about what I will be wearing this fall. If the weather in Tokyo ever allows me to be in style. While my friends at home are already rocking the Menswear for Women, and the super cute long hemline skirts, I am still in a beach "frock" and sandals. Yes, sandals close to October is unsettling for me as well. I personally can not wait to embrace the 50's fall trend and start dressing like Betty Drapper. I know I am not the only one with an obsession with Betty Drapper. I want to own a horse just so I can wear her riding outfits. FLAWLESS! Anyway, I am also extremely excited to layer.. Wraps, textures, appliques OH MY !

Above is a picture of what has already been in the windows for over a month plus an absolute diva who is completely comfortable rocking a monochrome ensemble which is a surprising trend for Fall 2010, however designers such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Jason Wu, Tory Burch and much more are hopping on the band wagon, we all might as well. I mean, when do we ever get to be head to toe matchy-matchy and not look like a power ranger or a hip hop artist who matches his jersey to shoe strings? Well, that is all for now, I know long, I needed this. SAYONARA
