I forgot to post an article I wrote for GaijinChannel about TOKYO'S Fashion Night out..

Check it out here : http://www.gaijinchannel.com/index.php/2011/11/11/fashions-night-out-takes-tokyo-guest-post-by-fashion-blogger-chanyn-cheree/#more-1709

Happy Almost FRIDAY! :)

Texture, Tights and Leopard

Are there still payphones in America? I see them all over Tokyo; always tucked inside a brilliant little booth that I can't help but snap a picture of.  Styled in multiple textures of wool, leather, faux fur and printed tights, I posed for a photo opportunity in this forgettable yet still seemingly necessary hut of technology.

I love mixing up textures and when doing so prefer to keep it to solids and neutral colors. I brought a little edge to the look with studded boots and a moto jacket and because my hair refused to cooperate that day, I stuffed it away inside a little leopard beret.

I am having fun with the new cool weather and  even hope for a little snow when I head back home tomorrow!

Put you FLATS ON- Versace for H&M

Monday, November 14, 2011
"Hop up out the beeed, put your FLATS ooon."

Yes, the collaboration we have all been talking about is releasing in a few days! Predicted to give Missoni for Target a run for it's money, this collaboration will have people in line for hours. Unlike the rumored madness of Missoni's release, there will be some shopping guidelines that shoppers will have to follow. Check out the shopping etiquette HERE. Hopefully this will prevent you from  duckin' and dodgin'  fellow Versace fans, punches.

GOOD LUCK FASHIONISTAS! This sounds like an event that calls for flats. Loafers, oxfords, riding boots.. You got this!

Tied Tight in Tribal

Thursday, November 10, 2011

The weather in TOKYO has officially transitioned into Fall. Farewell to bare stems and open toes and konnichiwa to boots, trenches and TRIBAL WRAPS.

After tying the wrap tightly around me, I cinched it with a thick belt and styled accordingly.

HAPPY NOVEMBER!

FNO Continued: Parties, Designers, Editors

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Here is the last segment from my Fashion Night Out extravaganza.

The day of fashion officially started after the Opening Ceremony held in Omotesando Hills. Masses of people flooded the sidewalks of Omotesando all heading to their desired boutique.  My first stop was Rag and Bone, where I snapped pics of the adorable interior decor and then headed off to Chanel.
Dior and Burberry were extremely lively and two of my favorites stops of the night. Both were hot spots for Designers and Editors, all stopping to pose for store front photoshoots before entering the store. Dolce & Gabbana was, of course, full of Glitz and Glam. My lady friends and I hung out there awhile admiring the beautiful clutches, accessories and sequined Blazers.
Cavalli's storefront looked more like a block party than a late-night sale. Definitely the hot spot of the evening. I couldn't help but grab a quick pic with the design icon himself.

Kampai! To a very successful TOKYO Fashion Night Out, tanoshikatta~!

FNO- Bloggers and Street Style

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

After going through all my photos from FNO, I decided to break up the blog posts to prevent consuming too much of your precious time.

Japan is already famous for incredible street style, so one can only imagine the stare-worthy looks that floated atop the sidewalks last Saturday. I wish I had captured them all, but my shutter speed just couldn't keep up with these fashion beasts.

In addition to self-expressive, Japanese fashionistas, Tokyo was filled with famous bloggers from around the world. I am sad to say I didn't get pics of mega-blogger Rumi Neely from FashionToast.com, but I was able to get a few shots with Chiara from BlondeSalad.com, and the Chicmuse herself, whom I think has amazing sense of her personal style and she's gorgeous.

Love this look and LOVE her hat!

Love the Karl Lagerfeld Patch, plaid bag and juxtoposed, spike accessories.

Fashion Night Out Style

Monday, November 7, 2011
Saturday's Fashion Night Out in Tokyo was a huge success. Definitely something to write home about or in modern times, blog about, which I intend on doing tomorrow. Currently I am editing down the the hundred or so photos I shot throughout the day and wishing Omotesando could be that cool every weekend.

For my Vogue FNO style,  I went for a cool-girl chic ensemble, pairing a Fur Fur pig leather Jacket with a pencil bubble skirt, and my new fav leopard booties.

Can't wait to post the pics from the remainder of the night!

Tokyo's FASHION NIGHT OUT NOV.5

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

It's almost time!  Tokyo's FASHION NIGHT OUT will be held in Omotesando and Harajuku this Saturday. Anna Wintour and many other Vogue editors from around the world will be attending the event that will attract fashionistas from all over the city to come shop til they drop at the boutiques extending their hours for shoppers. Many designers including Michael Kors, Derek Lam, and Roberto Cavalli, as well as top fashion bloggers have flown in for the event to support Japan and Tokyo's FNO! Don't miss out!

Dubai Day to Night

Prior to visiting Dubai I was told that there was no need to excessively "Cover Up", and frankly I could wear whatever I wanted. I did some further research and read pretty much the same thing; however, it is suggested to not bare all your assets, i.e Snooki, unless you want to be leered at by the local men. I was definitely up for the fashion challenge and quite excited to embrace a whole new culture with different ideas on what "Fashion" meant to them. I didn't go as far as sport a Berka but I did choose longer hemlines, covered up the shoulders and made the choice of baring either arm or leg, not both :) Didn't go to crazy. Most of the days I threw on a scarf with a long dress and it was perfect.

Below is an example of my day and night looks in Dubai.

Headed to brunch and a canal ride

For the day I opted for a long DVF wrap dress, flat sandals, fun jewelry and big shades.

Headed to a Lebanese dinner, Karaoke and an amazing bar on the beach
For Night I chose a long sleeve Banana Republic washed Silk blouse, Japanese Brand, Luvlicious sequin Skirt, and Mod Jewelry.
