I was fortunate to go on an American Holiday with my hubs for Thanksgiving. As much as I love this island I call home, there was something about the first breath of Seattle air that had my heart in it's hand when I stepped outside the terminal.
Rain or shine I was thrilled to be back in the crispy Northwest where Coffee is available in all seasonal flavors and you can drink amazing quality vino for under 10 bucks. California and Washington know what they are doing with wine. :) Beyond the initial culture shock of driving, traffic and generous serving sizes, I was in heaven to be surrounded by family, familiarity, and bargain shopping :)
An evening spent bowling, an afternoon at the mall and mornings waking up with multiple nieces and nephews were all filled with memories that will linger until the next time we all gather in America again.
Until then let's see what this Winter in Japan is all about! I am bringing out the heavy knit sweaters, thick leggings and some amazing faux fur hats that I can't just keep in the closet. Time to hit up one of the many ice skating rinks, check out the light displays and start decorating for X-MAS..!
